A Guide to the UK Innovator Founder Visa
On April 13, 2023, the UK government introduced the Innovator Founder Visa, merging the UK Innovator Program (UIP) and the Startup Program into a single streamlined route. Unlike the previous visa, which required at least £50,000 in investment, the new scheme does not impose a mandatory funding threshold. Instead, eligibility is based on business viability and innovation. This post will cover the necessary steps to apply successfully.
Eligibility Criteria for Applicants
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- A valid passport is mandatory.
- Your business idea must be innovative and endorsed by an approved endorsing body.
- You must demonstrate sufficient funds for yourself and any dependents in the UK.
- TB test clearance is required.
- The UK Innovator Visa does not impose any specific educational qualifications.
