A Guide to the UK Innovator Founder Visa

On April 13, 2023, the UK government introduced the Innovator Founder Visa, merging the UK Innovator Program (UIP) and the Startup Program into a single streamlined route. Unlike the previous visa, which required at least £50,000 in investment, the new scheme does not impose a mandatory funding threshold. Instead, eligibility is based on business viability and innovation. This post will cover the necessary steps to apply successfully.

Consultation with Advisor

A client visits our office to explore passport options and discuss their goals. Our expert advisors provide personalized guidance based on their needs.

After reviewing details about the UK program, the client proceeds with TEC by signing a contract that outlines the agreed terms and conditions.

Once enrolled, our experts assess and refine the client’s profile to align with UK program requirements.

In this initial assessment, the client meets with a UK solicitor to discuss their business ideas and receive expert legal insights.

The next step involves refining the business plan based on the client’s input and UK policies, guided by our experienced solicitor.

This session allows the client to address any concerns, clarify doubts, or discuss any aspect of the business plan and application process.

After thorough preparation, the business plan is officially submitted to an endorsement body for review.

Upon meeting all requirements, the applicant receives an endorsement letter, a crucial document for UK immigration.

With the endorsement letter in hand, the applicant can now proceed with submitting their visa application to the UK embassy, ensuring all necessary documents are in place.

Bringing family members to the UK is a top priority for many applicants. We focus on helping married individuals and those with children over 18 understand their options.

A business plan can include 2 to 3 partners for a minor extra cost, allowing up to three families to relocate under one endorsement letter.

After submitting your business plan to the UK approval body, you should receive your endorsement within 60 days.

Visa applications can be submitted within 10 days of receiving the endorsement.

The visa cost is £1,872 per applicant and spouse, while each dependent child requires £1,410.
